В жаркий августовский день молодая певица Лариса направляется на первую репетицию оперы Верди «Риголетто», где ей предстоит исполнить главную партию Джильды. По пути она становится единственным свидетелем смертельного ДТП. Лариса успевает запомнить приметы автомобиля, включая необычный талисман на лобовом стекле. Прибыв в театр с опозданием, она знакомится с новым солистом Глебом Ситниковым и мгновенно влюбляется. Однако в поведении Глеба появляются странности, наводящие Ларису на тревожные подозрения.

On a hot August Sunday, young singer Larisa heads to her first rehearsal for Verdi's opera "Rigoletto," where she is cast as Gilda. En route, she witnesses a fatal hit-and-run accident, becoming the sole witness. Larisa manages to note the car's make, color, and a distinctive malachite crab talisman with red eyes on the windshield. The driver's face is obscured as they fall onto the steering wheel during the crash before speeding away. Arriving late to the theater, Larisa meets the new soloist, Gleb Sitnikov, and falls for him instantly. However, she begins to notice peculiar behaviors that spark unsettling suspicions.
